Privacy Policy
Information we collect
- Account information: mobile number, first and last name, and sign-in history.
- Learner information: name, unique username, profile type, age range, optional gender, language skill ratings, goals, interests, occupation and preferred learning time.
- Child and teen information: information supplied by a guardian when creating and managing a supervised profile, and the time guardian consent was recorded.
- Technical and security information: event time, browser and device information, hashed IP address, sessions, errors and important interactions.
- Communications: support, privacy and abuse-report requests sent to us.
A username identifies each learner profile within Bloom. Public profiles and friendship features are not enabled in the current version, and usernames are not displayed outside the account. Before enabling social or public display features, we will provide appropriate notice and privacy controls and seek renewed acceptance if the change is material.
Bloom assigns the main account a random eight-digit account ID. If a user uses a referral, we store the referrer’s account or learner reference. When an invitation is sent, we store the invitee’s name and mobile number, the inviter profile, invitation status and a protected invitation token, and send the invitation through our SMS provider. The six-digit parent-protection PIN is stored only as a one-way hash and is used to restrict entry from a supervised profile to the parent profile.
One-time passwords are not stored in plain text. Only a hashed value is used to verify a sign-in attempt.
Why we process information
We use information to create and protect accounts, authenticate users, prevent abuse, personalize learning, keep each profile’s responses and progress separate, improve the product, provide support, comply with legal obligations and record acceptance of document versions.
Processing basis and consent
Information is processed to provide requested services, protect the Service, pursue legitimate operational interests and, where required, on the basis of explicit user or guardian consent. We record the document version, acceptance time, relevant technical information and account identifier.
Sharing and international processing
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed only as needed by hosting providers, SMS providers, technical contractors bound by confidentiality, or a lawful authority presenting a valid request. Some infrastructure may be outside Iran, so information may be processed in a country other than the user’s country of residence.
Retention and deletion
Information is kept while an account is active or for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, maintain security, resolve disputes and comply with law. Following a valid deletion request, information that is not subject to legal or security retention requirements will be deleted or anonymized.
Security
We use access controls, secure sessions, hashed sign-in codes, attempt limits and security-event logging. No internet system is completely secure, however. Users must prevent others from accessing their phone and account session.
User and guardian rights
A user or guardian may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or an explanation of information concerning themselves or their child through the support channel announced on the main ibloom.ir website. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal and may make some services unavailable.
Cookies and local storage
Bloom uses an essential session cookie and browser local storage for sign-in, PWA installation and onboarding drafts. The current version does not use third-party behavioral advertising or tracking cookies.
Children’s and Teens’ Privacy
- The main account must belong to a person who is at least 18.
- A profile for anyone under 18 may be created only by their parent or legal guardian.
- Profiles for ages 6–12 are treated as child profiles and ages 13–17 as teen profiles.
- During the MVP, we collect an age range rather than an exact date of birth.
- A child’s last name is optional. The username should not include a full legal name, birth year or other identifying information.
- The guardian can access the child’s profile information and settings and is responsible for accuracy and age-appropriate supervision.
- The current version does not provide public communication, private messaging with strangers or public publication of a child profile.
A child or teen may prepare an invitation only with the parent PIN. The SMS asks the invited child’s own parent or legal guardian to complete registration; an invitation does not create a child account or replace guardian consent.
Terms of Use
Acceptance and eligibility
By creating an account, signing in or selecting an acceptance control, the user confirms that they have read and accepted this document and are at least 18. A person creating a child profile confirms that they are the child’s parent or legal guardian and have authority to provide the information and manage the child’s learning.
Account responsibilities
Users must provide accurate information, protect their mobile number and session, and report unauthorized access. Activity is attributed to the account holder until unauthorized access is reported.
Acceptable use
Use must be personal and educational. Unauthorized access or interference, bypassing restrictions, accessing another person’s data, bulk automation, impersonation, providing a child’s information without legal authority, extracting or selling proprietary content, and unlawful use are prohibited.
Changes, suspension and termination
Bloom is under development and features may change or become temporarily unavailable. Continuous and uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Access may be limited for violations, security risks or legal requirements. A user may also request deletion of an account or child profile.
Governing law
To the extent permitted, this document is governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The parties will first try to resolve a dispute through discussion; if no agreement is reached, the competent legal authority will decide the matter.
Intellectual Property and Copyright
Unless stated otherwise, the Bloom name and mark, interface design, original text, educational structure, graphics, software and Service content belong to Bloom or its licensors. Users receive only a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the Service.
Republication, sale, removal of ownership notices, bulk extraction, creation of derivative products or commercial use without written permission is prohibited. Users retain ownership of their own content and grant only the permission reasonably needed to store and process it to provide the Service.
